The Bozeman Daily Chronicle is pleased to announce the release of its new apps for iOS and Android devices, bringing the paper’s local news directly onto smartphones.
The apps, which are free to download in the App Store and Android Market, serve up the latest news from the Chronicle’s free website, as well sports stories, letters to the editor, obituaries and more.
Readers can also use the apps to browse a selection of our classified advertisements, get the most recent lottery numbers, check the weather forecast and submit news tips, photos and videos straight to the Chronicle newsroom.
It is the Chronicle’s goal to supply local news and advertisements to readers wherever they happen to be and on whichever platform they choose. The apps are a major step toward embracing a variety of digital delivery methods — along with our website, e-mail newsletters, text message alerts and electronic edition, the e-Chronicle.
The Chronicle does not currently have native apps for Windows phones or the iPad, but support for those devices is coming soon.
In the meantime, we are always looking for ways to improve. Feel free to send your suggestions and comments for our current apps to me at becker@dailychronicle.com or call me at (406) 582-2657.
